Sajjad Ahmed is a visual artist based in Lahore, Pakistan. He graduated from Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, Pakistan in 2007, where he was awarded with South Asia Foundation SAARC scholarship award for four consecutive years. He primarily works with found images from media and history. His works are in various art collections in Germany, UK, India, USA, UAE and Pakistan. In 2009, he held a series of solo shows starting with "2009 - Ways of Seeing" at Alhamra Art Gallery, Lahore, Pakistan and concluding with "Deeply Superficial, at Zahoor Ul Akhlaq Gallery, National College of Art, Lahore, Pakistan. His work has been exhibited at various venues in Pakistan, India, USA, UK, China, Singapore, and Germany. His artwork has been taught at CUNY, City University of New York in 2009-10 as part of course work presentation, and at Hong Kong University in 2008. Recently his work has become part of permanent collection at Slought Foundation, Philadelphia, USA. He is one of the finalists for Sovereign Asia Art Prize 2009.
