“Borders Orbits 07-08” competition at Siemens Sanat

The “Borders Orbits” competition which was first organized in 2007 by Siemens Sanat to support the contemporary art and young artists, will be held this year for the fourth time. Applications for the “Borders Orbits 07-08” competition starts on February 15th. The competition is open to all graduate and post graduate students studying in Turkey; regardless of their fields of study and it is possible to participate by both individual and group works. The applicants can submit maximum three works which have been produced in the last three years with any content and material. The candidates should fill in the competition application form on the website of Siemens Sanat and submit their application dossiers to Siemens Sanat until April 9th , 2010 at 5 PM.
Canan Beykal, Murteza Fidan, T. Melih Gorgun, Gulcin Ozdemir and Emre Zeytinoglu will be in the Exhibition Evaluation Commission of the competition which is organized to support young talents and contemporary art.
The artworks of the young artists which are decided to be exhibited after the “Borders Orbits” competition will meet their audience at Siemens Sanat as of May 2010. The competition is organized to activate the self-expression skills of the young artists and will continue with two events, “Borders Orbits 07” and “Borders Orbits 08”.
