Manish Kumar was born in New Delhi in 1975. Started painting since child hood. He obtained a Bachelor at College of Art, Delhi, and studied at the Madhav Mahavidhyalaya, Gwalior for his masters. He also learnt photography and computer animation. Manish is an artist who actually took to painting to give vent to his inner sensibilities for the Human inside and around him. He has a special flair for figurative works. His work explores contemporary obsessions with sex and desire, race and humans, he likes to experiment with different mediums like, Drawing, Oils, Acrylic, Ceramic, Illustraion and sculpture etc. using symbols and abstraction. For him, “Good hand is just skill for the artist. Its is not that important but the synchronization of Hand, Eyes, Mind and Heart should be able to perform together to communicate the thought” Manish participated in many exhibitions in India and abroad and received laurels. Manish currently lives and works in New Delhi.
