TUNCA SUBAŞI Kişisel Sergisi

Sanatorium, 11 Mayıs – 12 Haziran tarihleri arasında Tunca Subaşı’nın
‘Little Boy’ isimli sergisine ev sahipliği yapıyor.
Türkiye çağdaş sanat ortamında bir çok projeye imza atmış olan Tunca Subaşı, kurucularından olduğu Sanatorium Sivil Sanat İnisiyatifi ve Platformu bünyesinde çalışmalarına devam etmektedir.
Sanatorium Çağdaş Sanat Galerisi, sanatçının altıncı kişisel sergisini izleyicilerin beğenisine sunuyor.
Sanatçı bu sergi ile, 1945 yılında Hiroşima’ya atılan dünyanın ilk atom bombasının ismindeki ironiye, Little Boy’un belleğini oluşturarak işaret ediyor.
Eserlerinin çıkış noktasını, bir atom bombasına ‘Little Boy’ ismini yakıştırabilen ve günümüzde de örneklerine sıkça rastlayabileceğimiz sarkastik tutum oluşturuyor.
Eserlerinde, çeşitli dönemlere ait politik düşünce ve olayların günümüzde popüler kültüre malzeme oluşunu eleştirel bir dille ele alırken; dönemin retro imajlarını heykel, enstalasyon ve resimleriyle yorumluyor.

Sanatorium is hosting Tunca Subaşı’s new exhibition named “Little Boy” between 11 May and 12 June.
Tunca Subaşı, who has created many projects in Turkish Contemporary Art scene is attending his artistic productions in constution of Sanatorium Art Initiative and Platform which he is also one of the founders.
Sanatorium Contemporary art Gallery is presenting The artist’s 6 th personel exhibition to the viewers.
In this exhibition, by creating Little Boy’s memory , the artist is pointing out the irony in the name of worlds first atomic bomb which was threw to Hiroshima in 1945.
The originating point of the artist’s Works is the sarcastic attitude that have regarded the name “Little Boy” as suitable for an atomic bomb , an attitude that you could come across easily in the present day.
While he criticizes the stuation of some politic thoughts and events releating to various periods being metarials for populer culture, he uses sculpture, installations and paintings to analyse the retro images of the period.
