11th Istanbul Biennial

The 11th Istanbul Biennial will be held between September 12-November 8, 2009. Curated by the curatorial collective, What, How and for Whom/WHW, the Bieannial takes its title from a song from Bertolt Brecht: “What Keeps Man Alive?” The 4 female curators have chosen more than 120 projects from 69 artists from 40 countries, to be exhibited in three venues amounting to 6.000m2.
